A beautiful Orbea namaquensis boasting a spectacular flower!
ommon names include carrion flower and in Afrikaans aasblom. It looks very similar to Orbea variegata but it mainly differs in the internal flower structures and the annulus (the ring shaped part of the flower in the centre). This plant is endemic and locally common to Namaqualand in the north-western corner of South Africa.
