Aloe Africana, also known as the Uitenhage Aloe, it is indigenous to the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa however it is able to adapt to a wide range of conditions. It thrives in coastal gardens where the plants prefer full sun and windy conditions. They often grow in association with Aloe ferox, A. pluridens and A. speciosa, and hybrids are not uncommon.
